In case there is still any doubt about how good Reggie Moore is, I want you to think back to last season, and the experience of Huskies sophomore Isaiah Thomas.
Â
If you live in the greater Seattle metro area, you no doubt were bombarded with pro-Husky propaganda about the great Isaiah Thomas and his glowing purple future. This hype carried through the 2008-2009 season and resulted in Thomas winning the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and Second Team All Pac-10 honors. In the off-season, it only got louder and more visible-- as the Seattle media propelled him to national watch lists and even the cover of Sports Illustrated .
Â
All that before this year even began. Â This season, Thomas has done nothing but improve, posting improved stats nearly every major category:
- PPG
- Offensive Rating
- Effective FG Pct
- True Shooting PCT
- FT Pct
- FT Rate
- 3pt Pct
- Rebounds per Game
- Assists per Game
- Blocks per Game.
Â
And tonight at Friel Court, he won't even be the best pure guard on the floor. Â Find out why after the jump:
Â
Because Reggie Moore is having a better season in his Freshman year than Thomas is having in his improved Sophomore year. Â Moore is outpacing Thomas in:
- Offensive Rating
- Effective FG Pct
- True Shooting Pct
- FT Pct
- FT Rate
- FG Pct
- 3pt Pct
- Assists per Game
- Assist Pct
- Steals per Game
- Steals Pct.
- Assists/Turnover Ratio
Â
Oh, and he plays more minutes for his team, too.
Â
Â
Maybe I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but it's worth repeating, especially on this day when the two teams will face off. Â Especially when Thomas is talking smack , saying that the last UW faced the Cougs, "we shut 'em up." Â Especially when Thomas' Huskies, who started the pre-season ranked #9 in the nation in some polls, find themselves scratching and clawing to make the NCAA Tournament at all.
Â
So it's nothing new-- those who've followed WSU 2009-2010 team know it, Pac-10 Coaches know it , and later today, Isaiah Thomas will know it.

Plus, I'd really love to watch Thomas fail in Pullman. Guy is a massive dbag. The only thing that makes him less conspicuous on that team is the fact that they have the biggest clown in the Pac-10 with Overton.
2. Why pick a fight?
