I tried to keep my focus limited to players on the roster in the Spring and then we can treat Mizell like a bonus if he comes in and is ready to play after a year off.
But you're right. Talk about a totally different unit if he is so good that he immediately comes in and takes a starting spot. Really hope that kid shows up over the Summer to work himself into shape.
Burns is definitely another wild card. Should be interesting to see what the staff does with him this Spring. We aren't exactly rolling deep at running back so if he stays at linebacker I would hope the kid is going to play a lot....that or they just did not see much at running back from him last season.
Lots of material to work with, right? Spring is only going to get us more excited about these guys. Finally, it feels like we've got some playmakers that will enable us to blitz and play aggresively on the edges against the run.
Very nervous about our interior defense but you have to start somewhere.
